Lidget Garage Re-Roof

Lidget Garage Re-Roof This Lidget building was a mere youngster at 11 years old but already Ms. Hollis of Derby had lost confidence in this building. Remarkably, she is amongst the minority that still parks their car in garage. A site survey wasn’t going to be necessary since original sales documents were produced and besides nobody wants a pushy salesman on their doorstep? Nick and Jarod stripped the fibre-cement roofing and the tatty fascias, the roofing supports were cleaned down and the entire building purged of creepy crawlies! They were joined by Andy who swiftly secured the new roof and

The importance of kerbside appeal

The importance of kerbside appeal It’s cheering to go that extra mile and our team did just that recently in Wakefield. We didn’t have to over clad the front pillars, but we felt that by doing this we would vastly increase this building kerbside appeal. It’s a Whopper!

It’s a Whopper! This building in Altrincham, Cheshire is a staggering 41ft (long). Many options were discussed with the client before deciding upon this Van Dyke coloured roof, pressure treated side barge boards and mahogany rosewood PVC window to rear. At first it was proposed to clad the front fascia and door pillars in something like a dark brown colour PVC cladding. It was also mentioned adding a woodgrain PVC fascia to the one side. The only real challenge was to obtain the measurements for the roof adjoining the wall. The current roof was too brittle to support our surveyor,

A Case Study – Mr. Adams, Plymouth, Devon

A Case Study – Mr. Adams, Plymouth, Devon Mr. Adams contacted @comptonspares back in January. At the time he was undecided whether to repair or replace his current garage. In addition to our garage revamp services we demolish sectional buildings nationwide and we’re agents for LidgetCompton the nation’s favourite range of concrete garages. A fixed price was given for the garage removal plus an installed price for a brand new Lidget Garage. We kept in touch with Mr. Adams and we were only too pleased to assist him in weighing up the options. A garage revamp was decided upon and

Diary of a garage roof installer

Diary of a garage roof installer I was fortunate enough to join our installation teams as they travelled from the Midlands, to the North West and around the Home Counties. Day 1 and a 7am call arrived asking for assistance on a job in Bedford. 2hrs later I arrive in Bedford to assist Paulius with a Compton ‘Lawnston’ Apex. By the time I had arrived he had already gotten the roof sheets on so I sent about adding foam filler, clearing the floors and generally giving the inside of the garage a good cleansing ensuring that no traces of the
